Aprilia Tuono 1000 R Factory

Aprilia Tuono 1000 R Factory
Style
The design On the Tuono 1000, is at the service of performance and comfort. Every little detail has been developed not only to attract admiration for its refined style, but to be totally functional.

Suspension
The fork is a Showa upside down unit, with 43 mm stanchions for a perfect balance between precision on the racetrack and comfort on the road. And to ensure that the ideal setup can be achieved for all styles and conditions, on the road and on the track alike, the fork is fully adjustable in spring preload and in compression and rebound damping.

Braking System
The braking system has undergone a number of major changes. The Tuono 1000 is equipped with Brembo Gold radial calipers featuring two separate sintered pads.
The two 320 mm floating steel discs feature a narrower braking band to minimise inertia and weight and are fixed in place by Aprilia's exclusive six spoke flange.
Components
The dashboard is a mixed (digital-analog) unit. It uses the data received over the CAN line to perform an essential autodiagnostic function for which it incorporates a dedicated memory.

The Engine
V60 Magnesium longitudinal 60° V twin, four stroke. Liquid cooling with three-way pressurised circuit. Double overhead cams, mixed gear/chain timing drive, four valves per cylinder. Patented AVDC anti-vibration double countershaft.

The Ignition
Digital electronic ignition, integrated with the injection control system. One spark plug per cylinder.
Starting Electric starter.

Aprilia Shiver 750 Concept

Aprilia Shiver 750 Concept

Design: Shape at the service of power
The Shiver 750 has a highly innovative design where form and function come together to create an almost perfect object.
The Aprilia Shiver 750 is pure technology as is evident from its mean, aggressive lines.
The technical component becomes a design element at the same time, creating a bike both aggressive and at the same time elegant.

The tank-seat-tail assembly further emphasises the compactness of the bike. The rider becomes one with the machine, perfectly integrated in the short, agile, and sporty bike. The strongly tapering tail also incorporates the twin exhaust with triangular silencers, a feature which makes the design even more aggressive, while keeping weight distribution highly symmetrical.
Suspension
The 43 mm upside down fork with forged feet to support the radial calipers provides benchmark smoothness.
The 120 mm wheel travel makes the bike equally at home on about town trips and mountain routes.
The bottom steering yoke is made from forged aluminium, as is the top steering yoke too.
The side shock absorber rests directly on the swingarm, according to the cantilever principle, and provides adjustments for spring preload and hydraulic rebound. Rear wheel travel is 130 mm.

Brakes
The best technology currently is incorporated in the Aprilia Shiver 750, the first medium powered naked with a radial caliper system, a feature emphasising even further (as if it were needed) the sporty personality of the design.
The 320 mm front discs are the same as used in the racing flagships, the RSV 1000 R and Tuono 1000 R.
At the back, a 245 mm disc with single piston caliper provides adequate backup for the front circuit.

Ignition
Digital electronic, integrated with the injection

Peugeot HYmotion3 Compressor Concept

Peugeot HYmotion3 Compressor Concept

This is based on the extensive experience of Peugeot Motorcycles, specialists in the scooter field, as well as the creativity and innovative capabilities of stylists and engineers working for Automobiles Peugeot.

The Style
On the basis of a frame designed by Peugeot Motorcycles, Peugeot car stylists unveiled a resolutely sporty and avant-garde design which also captures the spirit of their latest creations, for example the Peugeot 308 RC Z concept car.
Two polished aluminium roll-over bars support the "bubble" which protects the two occupants. This use of materials is strongly reminiscent of the RCZ concept.

The bars make a significant contribution to the vehicle's overall personality and balanced proportions. In addition to the comfort provided by this structure, the bars end in a handle which can be used by the rear passenger. To preserve the vehicle's clean lines, there are no rear-view mirrors, this function being carried out by two display screens on the instrument panel offering optimal rear vision.
Viewed from the front the vehicle creates a strong impression of modernity with its row of light emitting diodes (LEDs) on either side of the base of the front windscreen. These provide highly efficient lighting and also ensure that the vehicle can be seen easily in traffic.

Tapered front mudguards, strong lines and hi-tech rear lights... each detail adds to the dynamism of the Peugeot HYmotion3 compressor. A dynamism which bears a strong resemblance to models in the Peugeot car range...
Operating principle: simple, efficient, automatic and transparent for the user
The vehicle's petrol engine has a power output of 15 kW (20 bhp). It is the supercharged 125 cc engine featured in the Peugeot Satelis scooter, this modern engine is widely acclaimed for its performance in its market segment.

Two electric motors, one in each wheel, are present at the front of the vehicle. With a power of 2 x 3 kW, they are powered by "lithium-ion" batteries and recharged by an energy recovery system which operates during deceleration and braking.
Therefore, there are no mechanical connections between the front and the rear, everything being controlled electronically ("by wire"), allowing optimisation of the available space.

This hybrid technology, as well as its special innovative layout, is an important vector of research and development for Peugeot. Known internally as "HYmotion", this system is presented in multiple formats, featuring different types of engine, on Peugeot's stand at the Paris Motor Show. This concept demonstrates that the technology can be installed in any type of vehicle. In addition, different types of conventional engine can be combined with different types of electric motor.
The HYmotion technology in this case is particularly miniaturised to ensure an environmental performance of the highest order.

The suspension and the structure are designed to take account of this technology's application. The parallelogram type front suspension (i.e. with tilting wheels) has a transverse damper at its centre and ensures optimal driveability and vehicle stability. These technical components are located on the wheel hubs, therefore reducing the vehicle's centre of gravity following the example of the low-slung tubular frame.
The Braking, rendered more efficient by the presence of an ABS system, it relies on three ventilated discs and, above all, the front electric motors, which recover energy to recharge the batteries. The assembly (three wheels + electric motor braking) also reduces the braking distance by around 30% compared to a two-wheel scooter equipped with traditional brakes.
